Vancouver School-Aged Therapy

Provided by Vancouver Coastal Health

School-age therapy through the Vancouver Pediatric Team (VPT) provides occupational therapy and physiotherapy to children and youth who have physical, neurological, and developmental disabilities.
Referrals are accepted for:

  • Paediatric home care for nursing and nursing support services.
  • Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy for school-aged consultative services.
  • Acute Episodic Intervention for OT and PT available for clients aged 5-19 eg. post-op / post-discharge, support for transition back to community.

For Nursing support services:
The nursing team services children aged 0 to 19 years, requiring delegated procedures and care.
For Paediatric Community Nursing:
The nursing team provides services to children aged 0 to 19 years old with nursing needs.
For OT and PT services:
School-aged children/youth aged 5 to 19 years old with neurodevelopmental delays who attend Vancouver Public Schools.

Services are for students in public school, from kindergarten to the end of high school.

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 4:30PM. Closed for lunch between 12:00PM to 12:30PM.

Wheelchair accessible.

Service is available in English.
