New Horizons Clubhouse - Psycho-Social Rehabilitation & Supported Employment for Individuals with Mental Illness

Offers community-based rehabilitation, daily lunch program, transitional and supported employment, social and recreational activities for people with mental illness.
The Clubhouse follows the standards of the International Centre for Clubhouse Development (ICCD). It is a community-based psycho-social rehabilitation program that optimizes, social and vocational competencies, through a focus on the work ordered day. Members are offered the opportunity for involvement in the kitchen, clerical and maintenance units. A lunch program is offered daily at a cost of $2.00 per lunch to members.

The Employment Unit offers employment opportunities for members in our Transitional Employment Program (TEP). TEP holds contracts with Catalyst Paper where we employ five members per season, two per session plus one relief person.

Program also offers a Supported Employment Program to three unionized members working at Roger Street apartments doing maintenance. Other supported employment opportunities include positions within Peer Support, Food Matters, and the Healthy Harvest programs.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Saturday, 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM
