Child and Youth Neuropsychiatry Clinic (CYNC)

Provided by Island Health

Provides children and their families with psychiatric consultation and system navigation support to access needed community services.
The Child and Youth Neuropsychiatry Clinic (CYNC) is available to all Island Health children, youth and their families to ensure psychiatry care is available in partnership with the family's GP, NP or pediatrician for up to 18 months. In addition to access for a comprehensive psychiatry assessment, psychiatric nursing support is available for the child/youth and their family, as well as system navigation support to ensure connection to services in the community. While initial assessments will be done in person whenever possible, follow-up appointments may be done in-person or virtually.
