Drug and Alcohol Counselling Program

Provided by Tillicum Lelum Aboriginal Friendship Centre

Provides culturally sensitive drug and alcohol counselling and group support to Aboriginal people.
This program provides one-on-one counselling support services as well as groups in a culturally safe environment. In one-on-one sessions, counsellors provide internal and external referrals, harm reduction support, and holistic recovery-based planning such as relapse prevention, treatment planning, connection to health supports, cultural connection, and spiritual practice. Groups are offered in either a drop-in setting or in a closed group, which depends on the group running at the time. The program accepts both self-referrals and community referrals.
