Into the Circle - HIV/AIDS & STD Support Program
Condition Specific Support, Public Health, and Sexual Health
Provided by Tillicum Lelum Aboriginal Friendship Centre
Provides counselling, education, treatment and support for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
This program provides holistic counselling, prevention information, education, treatment, and support services to both individuals living with HIV/AIDS and the community at large.
They also provide:
- HIV and Hep C testing, counselling and follow-up,
- Sexually Transmitted Disease (STI) Screening/Treatment/Follow-up/Referral,
- Pap Smears,
- Pregnancy Testing and Counselling,
- Emergency Contraception (Plan B),
- Vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B, Influenza (Flu), Pneumovax (Pneumonia), HIB and Tetanus,
- Needle Exchange.
Services are free, confidential and available to all community members. Appointments and Care Cards are not required.
