Building Better Babies Program

A pregnancy outreach program that works with families who are pregnant or have babies from birth to 6 months of age. For parenting support in an Aboriginal setting.
This program offers prenatal classes, doula support, a “Moms, dads and babies” group for families with children under 6 months, and a group drop-in for everyone from BBB, featuring guest speakers from the community. One-to-one support is also available, and families can access nursing services, including baby immunizations.
A Baby Wellness Day is held once a month, providing parents with the opportunity to speak with community resource professionals about topics such as nutrition, child development, speech and language, dental health, substance use, and children’s mental health.
Childminding and transportation are available, as well as food and vitamin supplements.
