Indigenous Services
Provided by Kílala Lelum Urban Indigenous Health and Healing Cooperative
- Indigenous Elder one-on-one visits,
- Elder-guided community circles, and
- culturally-focused community outings.
The Elders and Knowledge Keepers support the development of positive identity and connection to Indigenous teachings, medicines, songs, and culture through relationships that are non-judgmental and grounded in compassion.
The Centre offers in-house elders that provide services for members, including:
- One-on-one visits typically last an hour and provide spiritual and cultural guidance to support our members with their healthcare or personal concerns.
- Elders also lead cultural circles, including West Coast teachings, Ki Ya Nan, Drum Circles and more! Circles happen Monday - Thursday and are open to members and interested community members.
