Youth Outreach

Provided by John Howard Society - North Island

Someone to talk to for free if things are overwhelming or out of control. Located in Campbell River and the Comox Valley.
This program offers free, safe support for youth where a youth worker will listen to what’s going on and give advice. They will help you try to make changes in your life if you want, and can connect you with community services if you need them.
Provides youth with:
  • A safe place to talk
  • Problem-solving
  • Information and referrals
  • Alcohol and drug-related issues
  • Promoting healthy relationships
  • Support
  • Accessing community resources
  • Getting back into school
  • Improving family relationships
  • Developing a safety plan
  • Transportation to and from appointments
  • Workshops on various topics
Referrals can be made by community service providers, teachers, counsellors, parents, friends, doctors, RCMP, and social workers, or youth can self refer.
